

Antonio Peticov
is a Brazilian painter, draftsman, sculptor and printmaker.
Self-taught, at the age of twelve he was sure that he wanted to follow the path of the arts and, to reach his goal, he sought information in books and magazines. His artistic training is based on systematic personal research in art history and his integration with avant-garde artistic movements in the second half of the 1960s. He specialized in Sacred Geometry and the Golden Section, giving his work a strong mathematical character.
In 1970 he moved to London, where he expanded his studies. In the following year, he moved to Milan and, in 1986, he moved again, this time to New York, only returning to Brazil in 2000.
Throughout his career his work was disseminated worldwide through album and book covers as well as calendars, postcards and posters, usually associated with his exhibitions.
He specialized in Periodic and Aperiodic Tiling having the largest collection of mathematical games - puzzles - in Brazil.
